tracking a welcome wonder
under soft planted plans
of our illusive coming

what I see I so tenderly
lend to you within a sonic spiral
a lifetime's collection of riddles
filtered through the last living slice
of a night rider's paradise
and planted on my last good tape

fire-headed and absolutely obsessed
taking the endless unknowing
of my only form and folding it
into a pathway that trenches
code into rhythm through a slew
of curled wires in a pit with
gifted figurines and things that
tingle to the touch

for goodness, for better
to be better

layer after layer
dwindling my myth
with a mischievous grin
in a lovestruck tailspin

all to say
I know I didn't get it right
even in trying through
the holiest of light

to let you see and feel
my hard shared delusion go
ring ring ring
on the spinning wheel
